114 GOVERNMENT OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA DEPARTMENT OF NATIVE AFFAIRS PLACE: M.R.N.S. Mogumber DATE: 15.4.1943 The Commissioner Native Affairs, Perth. I would like to draw your attention to the lack of Sunday Observance at the Settlement. I would suggest that all school children under the age of fourteen years were marched to Church once on Sunday. This may seen to you a trivial matter but in the upbringing of children it is very necessary to their moral training. I am of course referring to C. of E. children as of course the Roman Catholics can only go to Church when their Priest is here, but as we have a C. of E. Church and a resident Deaconess, then the children should take advantage of both. After they reach the age of fourteen years, they are old enough to think for themselves, but if they attend Church regularly until that age I am sure it would greatly improve their moral outlook
