C.N.A. Hereunder is a letter from Sister Eileen asking for permission to instruct the following candidates for baptism:- (1) Molly Toomala: Full-blood, aged about 21 years. Molly comes from Sale River. She was brought down from Broome in November, 1940, on the recommendation of Dr. Jolly. Molly has been receiving periodical treat- ment at the Perth Hospital for osteogenic sarcoma of the left ankle, but so far her condition has shown no improvement. At the moment she is at the East Perth Girls' Home, undergoing outpatient treatment. There would appear to be no reason why Molly should not be baptised in the Anglican Faith if she so desires. (2) Warbinna alias Rosie: Full-blood, aged 16 years. Rosie comes from Noonkanbah Station. She was brought down by plane from Derby Native Hospital in February, 1942, suffering from chronic osteomyelitis of the left tibia together with arthritis of the left knee. Rosie is still receiving periodical treatment at Perth Hospital. I know of no reason why she should not be baptised in the Anglican Faith. (3) Jinnie: full-blood, aged 50 years, of Rosewood Stn. Jinnie was brought down from Wyndham Native Hospital in October, 1941, for treatment to a fracturing femur. The fracture has failed to unite and nothing further can be done for her at Perth Hospital. There is nothing to prevent her baptism so far as I am aware. (4) Hector Clifton: full-blood, aged 30 years, of Gordon Downs. Brought down from Broome in October, 1942, suffering from a difficult type of fracture of the ankle. Hector is in Perth at the moment for further examination. If he wishes to be baptised I know of no reason to object. (5) Coral Kennedy 8 years three-quarters native blood (6) Nonie Kennedy 5 years three-quarters native blood (7) Howard John Kennedy 2 years full-blood These children were removed from Bunbury to M.R.N.S. after the death of their mother, Mrs. Eileen Gordon (nee Roland) in April, 1942. This woman was legally married to Jack Gordon, full-blood, in the Roman Catholic Church, Pinjarra, on 20.4.40. Mrs. Gordon has six children in all, viz- Vincent, aged 18 years, Roman Catholic In 1938 this boy was found guilty of | The father of indecent assault on Irene Walley.
